Hi, I’m Gosia.
The person behind Babrush Studio.
I’m a psychologist, sensory integration therapist, mum of two girls — and a self-taught artist.
I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember.
When I was a child, art was more than just something I enjoyed. It was my own little world — a place where I could escape for a while, make sense of things and deal with reality in my own way.
As I grew older, drawing simply stayed with me. Teachers began to notice it, there was art school, later architectural studies — and although life eventually took me in a different direction, I never really stopped creating.
I went on to study psychology and became a sensory integration therapist working with children. I also became a mum to two wonderful girls.
And through all of those changes, I kept creating.
I’ve never been particularly interested in sticking to just one technique. I love the unpredictability of watercolour, the boldness of linocut, the softness of pastels and the simplicity of coloured pencils. I like experimenting, mixing things and seeing where they take me.
For a long time, portraits were my thing. I painted people on commission, fascinated by faces and the challenge of capturing something personal.
But recently, quite unexpectedly, I found a new little world for myself — greeting cards.
And that little world became Babrush Studio.
A place for small, imperfect, handmade things — painted, printed and created slowly, with a little bit of humour and a lot of heart.
